A BIT ABOUT ME
Hello World!
This blog is a personal project I started in January of 2021. My name is Chesca Legaspi. I'm a 19-year old sophomore undergraduate student majoring in Computational and Systems Biology + minoring in Entrepreneurship at the University of California, Los Angeles. I'm especially interested in the intersections between business and technology. Currently, I'm planning on pursuing a career in product management, and am working towards developing a startup idea I recently had while in Westwood. Since February of 2021, I've also been working as a Product Management/Marketing Intern at Webasto EV Solutions.
Growing up, while I was always fascinated by technology and dreamt of breaking into the industry, I was never an expert in math or hard science. That said, I've always been an especially resilient (stubborn) person so I just decided that somehow, I'd find a way to make it work. Something that I'm really passionate about is "debugging" and breaking down stigmas/barriers that have typically kept people from believing that they can, in fact, pursue a career in technology, regardless of their degree or level of technical expertise.

This blog, which will consist of my personal musings, journey into entrepreneurship, breakdowns of big tech concepts into simpler terms, analysis of recent trends in the industry, and whatever else happens to be on my mind, is essentially my way of realizing that goal. If you have any feedback or want to contact me, shoot me an e-mail at chescalegaspi@g.ucla.edu or connect with me on LinkedIn! Otherwise, I'm happy you're here :)
