THE EGO INITIATIVE: ESSENTIALS ON THE GO
Empathy Drives Us Forward.
EGo is a project I first began in December 2020. As a UCLA student, I first came up with this idea while talking to some of my peers living in Westwood. It turns out that many residents have been particularly concerned with grocery stores being a potential hub to spread Covid-19, especially given that cases are only continuing to rise. Should schools re-transition from remote learning to in-person learning this fall, these concerns only bear even more weight. So, when I thought about potential ways to combat this, EGo was the result.
At the surface level, EGo is meant to be a peer-to-peer grocery delivery service specifically for university students. I'm hoping for it to function as a platform such that those who don't want to put themselves at risk can have an alternative which affords them both convenience and safety. On a higher level, its purpose is to reduce the spread of Covid-19, minimize risk to college communities, and maximize both convenience and user safety, while also serving as a way to connect.

Special thanks to Katherine Burog for helping me take my vision for EGo to the next level by designing the logo for this Initiative.
